Filtration test (PoDFA) by IA500 and image analysis by MIRASYS.
Image analysis enables quantitative control of the total amount of inclusions.
It is well received for quality control and verification of aluminum alloys.

The new analysis method allows the following two points
1. analyze an arbitrary area in an image
As shown in the left figure, any area in the image can be analyzed. This enables more flexible measurement than before, such as measurement of floating oxides that do not exist near the filter interface.
2.Analysis of inclusions by grain size
The amount of inclusions can be analyzed by particle size. Inclusions that cause defects can be analyzed in more detail.
Our long-accumulated database allows you to determine the relative position of the quality of your samples within the industry. This information is useful for selecting alloy suppliers and measuring the effectiveness of degassing processes.

By identifying the composition of inclusion, it is possible to confirm the presence of chipping defects causes such as oxide film and oxide Mg.
If you would like this service, please prepare at least 3 kg per sample (5 kg is recommended).
When preparing samples,please make sure that there are no foreign materials adhering to the sample.
In particular, please kindly check that sand from sand mold casting and metal parts other than aluminum because they may affect the test results.
